Rico Soegiarto’s ordinary drive home from work in Denpasar, Bali, took an extraordinary turn when he stumbled upon a severely malnourished and bald Siberian Husky, half-buried on the roadside. The dog’s body bore wounds, masking her true breed. Rico, compelled by compassion, knew he had to rescue her.
Already a rescuer of four dogs, Rico couldn’t resist the instant connection he felt with this puppy. He named her Hope, inspired by the glimmer of optimism in her sparkling blue eyes amid her dire state.
Hope found solace in Rico’s home, where her journey to recovery began. Rico administered medicinal baths, ensuring she received ample nourishment to regain weight and promote fur regrowth. His dedication and care worked wonders, nursing Hope back to health.
Over time, Hope‘s identity emerged as her fur grew back, and her confidence soared. The once unrecognizable, bald pup transformed into a stunning, disease-free Husky within a year. Rico not only rescued and rehabilitated Hope but also welcomed her into his family as a beloved pet.
Now thriving in Bali, Hope enjoys a beautiful life, savoring her “second chance” under Rico’s care.
