Meet Ruggles, an adorable Shih-Tzu puppy. He was moved to a new area where the potential of a new life could begin.
He was introduced to a new buddy to represent this fresh start, and their unexpected buddy was likewise saved from an unpleasant circumstance. Chompers the kitten was discovered alone under a porch at barely two days old. They meet each other for the first time in the video below.
Despite their tough beginnings, Ruggles and Chompers are cheerful and healthy, both of whom were adopted into loving households! Ruggles went on to become the official ambassador for the shelter that saved him, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. The dog now goes to schools to educate youngsters about puppy mills and shelter canines.
“For those wondering why they were not adopted together… that was the shelter’s original plan, but Chompers (true to her name!) got too harsh with young Ruggles, and because to his health difficulties, it was concluded that it was in both of the animals’ best interest to be adopted individually. They are both happy and very much loved!”
The bond formed between the dog and its first friend transcended words, as if they had been destined to cross paths.
