This is Maggie — a sweet little Shih Tzu-Chihuahua mix with a very big personality.
When she’s happy, it shows. But on one particular day, it showed more than usual.
Maggie lives on Long Island with her owners, a Twitter user named Eunice and her father. There, she never stops delighting them simply by being her adorable self.
“She is the cutest! She has quite a personality,” Eunice told The Dodo. “She loves to cuddle but is also a yapper at times. She’s very mischievous!”
Eunice certainly knows just how mischievous Maggie can be.
A few months back, her father decided to take an afternoon nap. He wears dentures, and they were bothering him that day, so he took them out before dozing off. Oddly, when he woke up later on, the false teeth were nowhere to be found.
“He thought maybe he had left them in the bathroom,” Eunice said. “When they weren’t there, he went searching downstairs and found Maggie under my living room table.”
Turns out, Maggie had stolen them.
And just like that, Maggie had acquired a rather bold new smile. Eunice’s dad just had to share.
“He sent me a picture and explained what had happened and I was in literal tears,” she said.
Maggie looked to be quite pleased with herself, for obvious reasons.
The little dog didn’t get to keep that cartoonish grin too long; presumably, Eunice’s dad retrieved them and gave them a good scrub. Fortunately, these photos will live on forever.
There is a chance, however, that Maggie is plotting to get that smile back …
… in which case, grabbing a quick nap on the couch might never be the same
