All it took was someone noticing him for Leroy, trapped in a cement hole in Fresno, California, to embark on a journey from despair to delight. Spotting a photographer in an abandoned lot near the trench, Leroy’s fate changed as the concerned photographer contacted animal control.
Responding swiftly, the animal control team rescued Leroy from his predicament. Despite his ordeal, the friendly pup displayed a calm and adoring demeanor, grateful for the newfound attention and care.
Compassion Without Borders, a rescue group, took Leroy under its wing, where staff members were amazed by his resilient and amiable disposition. Veterinarian and Compassion Without Borders executive director Christi Camblor fostered Leroy, tending to his medical needs and forming an inseparable bond.
The Camblor family, feeling an undeniable connection, officially adopted Leroy about a month into his care. Today, Leroy enjoys a life filled with smiles, participating in photoshoots, playing with toys, and basking in the sun in the backyard alongside his dog siblings.
Silly, playful, and loving, Leroy’s transformation is evident, now living the life he truly deserves – well-fed, cared for, and constantly adored by his mom and dad.
