Dogs with disabilities or medical issues often have a difficult time. They are often euthanized or abandoned by owners who do not want to take on the responsibility of caring for them.
However, as long as the dog is not in pain, he should be allowed to live and be loved like any other dog. After being given a second chance, a disabled dog is not only doing well, but is also “the happiest dog in the world!”
Jennifer Osbourne saw a dog named Moose in a pet store in 2016, and he had a very distinctive appearance, with a fixed smile and a big bite.
It found that Moss’s brain was missing parts due to a medical condition he had had since birth.
“The moose’s nose had been pushed into his skull, resulting in a lower nose, a crooked nose, a misshapen skull, brain malformation, and eye problems — most likely while he was still in the womb,” Jennifer explained to Metro.
Jennifer fell in love with the dog immediately, and was concerned that Moose would be killed due to his medical issues if he fell into the wrong hands.
As a result, she adopted him herself, providing Moss with a safe haven.
Jennifer was well aware that the road ahead would not be easy: Moss’ medical problems required a great deal of attention.
Seizures were a frequent occurrence in his life. “It affects the body and brain, leaving his whole body shaking and frothing at the mouth,” Jennifer explained.
She had the dog undergo an MRI, which revealed the extent of his medical problems: He lacked a frontal and paranasal sinus, and a cyst had formed where parts of his brain were missing.
“His forebrain is compressed, but the rest of his brain is in good shape,” Jennifer explained on Instagram. “Moss’s neurologist had never seen a dog with such a problem before.”
It found that the dog’s seizures would continue for the rest of his life, but they could be controlled with medication and would not reduce his life expectancy.
Jennifer is ready to face any challenges that may arise, and remains grateful to have Moss in her life. No matter his circumstances, he is a happy and playful dog.
She told Metro: “We are very lucky that Moss survived, in light of everything that happened to him.” “It’s nothing short of a miracle.”
Moss lives his life with a big smile on his face, as if he is grateful for every day he lives.
Jennifer described him as “amazing” and “a blessing in my life.” “I’m grateful that he’s my dog because he’s the happiest dog I’ve ever met.”
