Dog Who Survived Triple Murder and Crawled to Safety on Roof Faces Euthanasia at Shelter

An eight-year-old dog that survived almost insurmountable odds is set to be euthanized by Chicago Animal Care and control. Tupper arrived at the shelter as a stray after being spotted on the roof of the building after a series of very terrible circumstances. Three members of the Tupper family were killed, while a fourth committed suicide.

Topper’s rescue attracted national attention because he had to be lifted to safety from the roof of a decaying house using a crane; a formerly loyal dog traumatized by the brutal murders of the only humans he had ever known. Only topper survived, and he was discovered sitting on the roof of the House, guarding his tormented ghosts and decaying walls.

In the blink of an eye, the entire universe was lost. He is kind, loving, and charming. The Anti-Corruption Center is at capacity, more adopters and sponsors are needed to save more lives.

Tupper was in the shelter for six months and learned the definition of love from caregivers. He enjoys cuddling, but has become protective of his home and refuses to leave. According to shelter officials, he has been there for a very long time and has become very loyal to his caregiver – he is a volunteer – and will need to be the only dog in the family if he is adopted.

Topper is a cute, calm, intelligent and curious dog with agility and food puzzles. He has an exciting and joyful trot, jump, bounce! His heart, on the other hand, is overflowing with this amazing truth known as love; all he needs now is a home in which he can develop properly.

Please inform authorized rescue organizations, friends, relatives and social media contacts about the suffering of this dog. Participation can literally save lives.
