Dumped into a chemical lagoon like yesterday’s trash, Carmi endured the harsh consequences of human heartlessness. Toxins from the garbage left her with severe bruising and skin burns, a testament to the cruelty she faced.
Amidst the refuse, Carmi scavenged for food and sought refuge for sleep, surviving in unimaginable conditions. Her tale took a dire turn as we discovered she was not only pregnant but also critically unwell due to the toxic exposure. Carmi’s pleading eyes seemed to implore, “Please help my babies, please.” Urgently, our team took her to the vet.
The vet’s examination revealed a grim health picture—anaemia, low red blood cell count, and high white blood cell count indicative of a severe blood infection. Elevated BUN levels hinted at potential renal issues due to chemical exposure. Distemper, thankfully, tested negative.
A miraculous turn unfolded ten days later! Despite the odds stacked against her, Carmi, the resilient soul, brought four healthy puppies into the world. Each one found loving homes, marking a bright spot in Carmi’s tumultuous journey.
Carmi, once a pitiful figure, is now on a path of transformation. Gaining weight, sprouting new fur, and evolving into a delightful young lady, she’s leaving her past sorrows behind. From a lonely and mistreated street survivor, Carmi has blossomed under care, affection, and newfound possibilities.
Today, her tail wags joyfully, reflecting the happiness that surrounds her. Carmi not only found her forever home but also discovered eternal happiness.
