The Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia received a distressing call about a lost dog seeking shelter in a drainpipe along a snowy rural highway. Determined to find her and offer assistance, the rescue team quickly made their way to the location. Following a trail of paw prints in the snow, they discovered an opening in the drainpipe. As they approached, a beautiful blue-eyed dog emerged from the opening, joyously running towards them, grateful that someone had finally noticed her plight.

Upon further investigation, the rescuers realized that the cold dog had puppies with her inside the pipe. However, the puppies were too scared to leave the safety and warmth of their hiding place. Hoping that the mother’s presence would coax them out, they allowed her to return to the pipe, while calling her from outside. Despite her willingness, the puppies remained fearful and refused to follow her. With no other option, the rescuers carefully secured the mother dog in their rescue van and turned their attention back to the puppies.

Using food as bait, they attempted to lure the puppies out of hiding, but the little ones were hesitant and unwilling to budge. Time was of the essence, as the frigid temperatures posed a serious threat. In a desperate attempt, the rescuers decided to employ a scare tactic. With one person gently nudging the puppies forward from one end of the pipe and another using a broom to guide them, they finally managed to coax the first puppy out. The rest soon followed suit, reuniting with their mother in the warmth and safety of the van.

It was evident that this rescue mission had come just in the nick of time. With temperatures dropping even lower at night, the little family would not have survived much longer in the cold. Fortunately, someone had alerted the compassionate rescuers to their plight, enabling a timely intervention. Now, the adorable family was reunited and on their way to a future filled with warmth, care, and the promise of loving forever homes.
