A heartwarming photo session in Cuba took an unexpected turn when a homeless puppy wandered into the frame, stealing the spotlight from the intended star, 15-year-old Olivia Núñez Zaragoza.
The canine, described as loving and photogenic by photographer Néster Núñez, quickly captured everyone’s attention. Images truly do speak louder than words, as the pictures perfectly capture the smiles shared between Olivia and the furry guest.

The unlikely photoshoot took place in Cuba’s Plaza de La Vigía, a popular spot for quinceañera celebrations. “We were stressed because of the session schedule, the sun, and everything,” recalled Néster, describing the initial pressure of the shoot. “Suddenly, this curious pup approaches, and I gesture to Oli.”
The surprise visit quickly turned delightful, with the adorable creature playfully leaning against Olivia’s dress. Internet users, charmed by the interaction, dubbed the event “Los quince de Firulais”, a humorous twist on “quinceañera” (meaning “fifteenth birthday” for girls).
“It was just the two of them: Olivia, who not only petted him but also sat down with him, and Firulais, the loving and photogenic pup who happily accepted the offered lap,” observed the photographer.
“Such a wonderful quinceañera with the most beautiful smile,” remarked one user who saw the picture. It was clear from the image that Olivia embraced the unexpected guest.
