Scott Hodges has loved pit bulls for as long as he can remember. He used to have his own pittie, Sheba, but she died in 2004 after 15 years.
Delivering Love: A UPS Carrier’s Canine Connection
Fortunately, Hodges has been a UPS carrier for the past 32 years and sees pit bulls every day on his route. He encounters a variety of animals on the job, including a very friendly pig, but he has a real place for Pitbulls. Over the years, he’s come to know them all, and they love him just as much as he loves them.
“I know most, but not all, of the pitties by name,” Hodges explained to The Dodo.
Daily Rituals: Spreading Love and Biscuits
Every day, Hodges stops on his UPS route to say hello to his pit bull pals (and all the other dogs). They recognize him and are always on the lookout for him because they know Hodges can always be depended on to give them love and food.
“All of the pitties on my route are friendly, and I give them biscuits every time I see them,” Hodges explained.
Capturing Moments: A Photographer’s Touch
He takes a lot of photographs to keep track of all the pitties he encounters… he has probably photographed every pit bull on his route by now.
Eager Greetings: Wagging Tails and Big Smiles
Of course, the pitties are usually delighted to see him… and some want to go all out more than others.
Beyond Pitties: Sharing Love with All Dogs
He also takes images of the other dogs on his route… yet pit bulls will always be his favorite breed.
A Daily Joy: Finding Fulfillment in Every Stop
Hodges is fortunate to have a job where he can see pit bulls every day, and he never tires of stopping to say hello to all of his pals.
