When Wiley first arrived in his new home, his mom immediately noticed something special about him. Besides the fact that he was sweet, sassy and very silly, Wiley also had some very distinct markings that formed an adorable heart shape around his little nose.
Since Wiley was still so young, his family wasn’t sure if the markings would stay that way, but as he grows, the heart remains, much to the delight of every person he meets.
“I wasn’t sure if it was going to stick because the top left part of it was a somewhat detached spot,” Lexi Smith, Wiley’s mom, told The Dodo.
Wiley is a VERY friendly little guy who still has a ton of puppy energy and wants to play with anyone and everyone he comes across. He’s always quick to want to say hello to new people, and every single one of them is always happy to say hi back, especially once they see his little heart nose.
“Everyone notices the heart,” Smith said. “Can’t take him anywhere without being mobbed, but he loves all the attention. He is cute and he knows it! He is a stubborn little sweetheart full of sass and constantly making me laugh. He is a cuddle bug when he wants to be, but when he is ready to play, you better be ready to, too.”
Even though he’s still super young, Wiley has definitely already picked up on the fact that he’s insanely adorable, and loves showing off for everyone he passes. He’s not at all shy, and sees the world as just a bunch of new friends he hasn’t met yet.
Besides showing off for his fans, Wiley loves to play with other dogs, go hiking, bother his cat sibling and watch his favorite movie — “101 Dalmatians.” He’s already an incredibly spoiled little pup and usually gets his way, because he’s just so cute, and it’s too hard to say no to that face.
“I taught him ‘sit’ pretty early, so now whenever he wants anything, he just sits and expects to be rewarded with it,” Smith said. “He scoffs and grunts at you when you tell him no, but he doesn’t have to deal with that often since he’s so cute and usually gets his way.”
Wiley is already basically a local celebrity, not just because of his nose, but because he’s the friendliest puppy around.
