The Lega Del Cane Trani rescue team came across a man who used to travel between Barketta and Trani in Italy a few months ago. During their journey, they discovered a damaged suitcase on the side of the road, which led them to believe that they were dealing with a terrible situation. Upon further investigation, they found a helpless puppy that had been abandoned inside the suitcase. Despite the pup’s mistrust of humans due to digestive issues, they attempted to assist it.
Nonetheless, they managed to bring the dog in for a medical evaluation and discovered that it had foreign bodies, such as stones and animal hides, obstructing its fatty digestive system. Additionally, the dog was diagnosed with tissue necrosis, liver malfunction, hyperparathyroidism, and anemia.
After weeks of being weak, the dog’s condition began to improve, particularly in his head area. Eventually, he was able to stand up on his own. The dog, who goes by the name Kei, is now receiving appropriate care and medication to aid in his recovery. Once he has made a full recovery, he will be ready for adoption.
