A small street puppy was discovered by rescuers in the Groendal township in South Africa. Despite having been burned before, the puppy eagerly shared a piece of stale bread with the rescuers.
Named Gunnar by the rescuers, the puppy was anemic and had severe tick and worm infestations when he was rescued. After a week of treatment, Gunnar was healthy enough to be adopted and quickly found his forever home.
His new family describes him as naturally friendly and inquisitive, and he has developed a rock obsession. Gunnar has adapted well to his new family and enjoys playing with the other foster animals.
