After Spending The Night in Lake Lytham, The Dog Adheres To The Shoreline

A canine was rescued after spending the night submerged in a lake near Lytham.

This morning, the German Shepherd was observed loitering along the Fairhaven Lake shoreline (March 25). The canine was rescued by the Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service, the Lancashire Police Department, and members of the public. The dog has been surrendered to the local RSPCA and is now secure.

The dog is being cared for by the Veterinary Health Centre, and the proprietor will be required to present identification. In an effort to locate the dog’s owner, police said they will also explore the lake’s vicinity. They have asked you for information.

According to a social media report, a German Shepherd canine became stranded in the water at Fairhaven Lake this morning after spending the night there. The Fylde Police are aware of this incident.

“We can affirm that Lancs Fire & Rescue and other members of the public rescued the dog, which was a fantastic outcome.

“The local RSPCA is currently caring for the canine. To attempt to locate the dog’s owner, we will undertake CCTV searches around the lake.

“Were you nearby during the event? Can you remember anything? Is your pet present? If so, please report it online or by contacting 101 with the reference number 0243 for today’s log. We commend your endeavors.”
