Let me introduce you to Archie, our 11-month-old baby boy, and Nora the dog. They make an amazing couple. They have known each other for a long time and became fast friends. It seemed logical that they would end up together.
Nora, an eight-year-old English teacher, “comes from an abusive home and is terrified of almost everything,” according to Archie’s mother, Elizabeth Spence. Nora is the only member of the family with such a background.
Nora and Archie frequently clash with each other. Because of the baby’s radiating warmth, Nora can better experience feelings of protection, security and comfort.
They share a strong bond with each other. When Nora comes to the baby to hold him, Archie never screams, and seems pleased rather than upset by her presence.
“Nora’s probably sitting on the bathroom rug, waiting for Archie to get out of the bathroom if he’s showering right now.” She wants to join us on my lap and cuddle while I nurse him. Archie’s mother made the comment. “I will be there to support him even if he raids my cupboards and throws every dish on the floor,” she said in the statement.
Archie and Nora share the same pattern every day: they dress up, spend time together doing activities in the family den, and sleep together in the afternoon.
Elizabeth spent a lot of time and effort capturing their passionate embrace.
We may learn from Nora that no matter where you come from, your family can help you overcome almost anything. Nora’s situation might have been much worse if not for the kindness of Archie’s mother and the fact that Archie accepted Nora as one of his family.
