In the world there are people with terrible intentions capable of committing the worst actions. Unfortunately, many innocent animals end up being the victims of these and the lucky ones live to have their stories told.
This was what happened in the American town of Griffith in Indiana, where it seems that fate united a man named Bob Hoelter with a puppy who needed him more than anyone that day.
By coincidence Bob had decided to walk that morning
Bob works in a store located in the town that is 3km from his home, and although he usually drives to work , the night before he had decided that he needed to do some exercise and walked to work the next day, and from Had it not been for that coincidence, a life would not have been saved that day.
As Bob passed over a bridge he was startled by some really sad shrieks that seemed to come from under the bridge. He looked towards the land and into the water, but he saw nothing and he had no choice but to go down from the bridge to try to find this desperate creature.
But on his way he met a setback
Nearby was a large culvert and Bob thought that might be the source of those groans , and not knowing what lay ahead, he reached down and reached out with his hands to grab whatever it was that needed his help.
Shocked, he found a dog that was shivering with cold and fear, but the worst thing was that his snout was wrapped with an adhesive tape for electrical wiring. Bob knew that he had to act quickly and remembered that the Griffith Animal Hospital was not far from the site.
The moment Bob walked through the doors of the clinic with the puppy in his hands, Lori Kovacich, who was the manager of the compound, looked at him terrified and in a matter of seconds, took the dog from his hands to deliver it to the team of veterinarians.
In the midst of the commotion, Lori forgot to ask Bob for his name and phone number, and Bob, seeing that everything seemed under control, continued on his way to work.
Luckily, the vets managed to help the poor 4-month-old puppy.
Meanwhile, the vets were taking care of the pup who looked completely emaciated and had the skin under the tape badly damaged. The team estimated that the cub had been living for several days with the duct tape sealing his mouth.
However, there was still a long way to go
After the team managed to remove the duct tape from the pup’s muzzle, they gave him cream and antibiotic injections and provided him with a bed . Once this was done, the veterinarians found that the puppy had a broken leg and would require surgery, which made them think that perhaps someone tried to throw the dog into the water, but it ended up landing on the ground.
The little boy had a broken leg and required surgery
Disturbed by the events, Lori wrote a post on Facebook telling the story of the puppy, which served to attract the attention of Mary Witting and her husband, who are regular clients of the clinic and had lost their old pet a short time before.
A short time later the puppy got a family that adopted him
The Wittings soon went to meet the puppy, decided to adopt him and named him Louie . But the pleasant surprises were not over, because thanks to Lori’s publication, Bob managed to meet Louie once again and he recognized his hero with great emotion.
One last time he was reunited with his hero
This man is an example for everyone, because a man in a hurry left everything aside to save this sweet puppy.
